Living in various stages of dominancy, The Real MVPs is on ongoing project born from a passion for basketball, the Portland Trail Blazers, and an interest in statistical analysis. Namely, The Real MVP's serves as an outlet, but with plans of performing some larger and more consistent analysis in the near future.

As a recovering political science junkie, I continue to hold dear my passion for civic engagement and public policy. Through my studies and experience in public policy, I developed a appreciation and consciousness of its dramatic and widespread impacts. Whether through funding for education, transportation, the defense of civil liberties, or the modernization of our political system, the drive to improve is the bedrock of public policy.
Perhaps most relevant to today's electoral landscape, my earliest involvement in politics grew through studies on the youth vote and the under-30 voter turnout. Always a popular point of discussion, the youth vote is frequently the target of campaigns but there has never been an extended period of consistent results. >> Further Reading
I was first introduced to Ultimate Frisbee as a sport at Lewis & Clark College where I joined the men's team named Bacchus after the Greco-Roman deity of winemaking. Ultimate frisbee is renowned for its close-knit community and Bacchus added a social dynamic that Lewis & Clark as a whole was sorely missing.
In 2012, Bacchus Ultimate qualified for the national championship competition and returned in 2013-2014, placing 7th and 11th in the Division III tournament respectively.
